Eunna Tuble
This illustration was made for a project given at Women’s Month, where we asked to make any illustration we want and decided to base our work on women-empowering songs. I chose “Femininomenon” by Chappell Roan because of its bold message about independence and rejecting traditional expectations placed on women. Inspired by that theme, I reimagined a classic fairytale scenario. Instead of waiting to be rescued, the princess takes control of her own story, escaping the tower on her own terms. She is joined by another woman in armor, symbolizing solidarity and strength, as they ride away together on a motorcycle. Behind them, the prince gives chase, representing outdated and misogynistic ideals they are leaving behind. Through this piece, I wanted to show that women don’t need saving, they can define their own paths, support each other, and break free from limiting narratives.
