Feature: “The Leadership and Management in the Arts” class

We would like to present to you the young artists of grade 12 from “The Leadership and Management in the Arts” class:  Brian Tianco, Dara Estioko, Macy Abad, Piero Gacayan, Iya Goseco, and Luna Constantino.

In this class the students learn about the concepts, elements and processes in arts management through appreciation, analysis and practical application. This first half of the schoolyear they learned about the different government and private organizations that help promote and manage the arts as well as the various artisans in different communities in our country.

We also discussed and discovered the different expressions of arts and where they find themselves as artists. Through these, they are finding what their “artistic paths” may be.   They were also given the chance to express themselves through their artistic skills.

1st Quarter Projects

In the 1st quarter they were tasked to create a video read-aloud of a children’s book of their choice with voice over narration, music and illustrations from their chosen book.
